A checkup is part conversation and part careful examination. Tell us about a sensitive spot, bleeding gums, a change in your medications, or anything that has made brushing and flossing harder. Small details can help us understand what is happening in your mouth.
What we look at
- A conversation about your health history and any changes or concerns
- An examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and oral tissues
- X-rays when they can provide information we cannot get from the examination alone
- A professional cleaning suited to your needs
- Time to talk about anything we found and what you can do at home
You may not need X-rays at every visit, and not everyone needs the same checkup schedule. Before you leave, we’ll let you know when we would like to see you again and what we want to keep an eye on.
